A love letter to lebanon

Hello everyone,

We have just received the email below from a young lady residing in the UAE, Christine Zoughaib, requesting people from all around the globe to leave a message for all the Lebanese under the bombing. She and her friends are hoping to create a leaflet that would contain all those testimonials: A Love Letter to Lebanon.

We do not know Christine but like all the Lebanese living abroad, she feels helpless and in distress at such horrific times. Writing something or forwarding a mail might seem ridiculously useless when in Lebanon people are just hoping to live long enough to see another day.

However, we do believe in the power of the Internet as a forceful tool to rally people but most importantly raise awareness.

Believe it or not, people who do not watch the Arab media do not know what is really happening. They do not even suspect half of what we tell them. Or show them.

That is why we encourage all those who want to express their feelings and support in these hard times to join Christine’s effort and maybe send a few words. Please make sure you copy and paste the message, instead of forwarding it as it is, and to copy Christine Zoughaib on your email so she can collect all the testimonials in one location.

We have also dedicated a space on our Forum where you can leave your message if you prefer, and you can share this link: http://www.nowarlb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=36#36. Christine can access all the messages posted there.

We also remind everyone to share www.nowarlb.com with all their contacts. We have posted photos there and a database of all the petitions gathered from the emails we received in the past few days, some sent by many of you. Again, signing such petitions could seem worthless but if everyone shares what is happening and the circle expands, maybe we will manage to finally generate the much needed global outrage that is still dormant in so many people’s hearts.

The war started AGAIN on Lebanon. The country many of you have visited, many of you have loved and many of you have wished to visit.

Lebanon again is living war by the Arab’s world enemy Israel.

I’m not going to say much...all I ask for is a little prayer...whether Christian, Muslim, Druze...
We all believe in one GOD...one world...
