"stop sending me these emails!"
my line of action has been since five days spread between the living
room to phone (never got lucky with the line to Lebanon),my room on
the Internet to know whats happening or to listen listen to the radio,
the living room on my sofa watching the news on the BBC and which i
stopped(its full of shit)...
this is how I'm spending my days lately...
this morning was the time where i felt useless,
its where i believed that all what I'm doing is receiving emails,
signing petitions, sending emails back...(for eg i received the same
email from 17 different friends covering the world from Australia to
the states including Madagascar/south Korea/ Mongolia/Brunei
i asked my self as anyone of you had asked him/herself,
is what we are doing, helpful??
are all these emails read??
or they go straight to our Junk??
no matter how much we can circulate these emails,
for sure someone will read at least one, and he/she will tell it to others...
every story starts with two,
and ends with a ( , )
no story ends with a ( . )
this evening i received an email from a Friend whom i met in Beirut,
Tim who lives now in England , he says:
"The morning air in the streets of Sour will smell of mint again,
Roses will always grow on the slopes of Mount Lebanon, the Chouf will
always wear a crown of snow to welcome the New Year and the music will
never stop forever in Beirut"
i smiled; and thought that there are still people who know Lebanon and
could speak about it in a better way than the BBC or CNN or ABC or
even ALJAZEERA does!!
maybe because we believe in the power of truth and beauty in Beirut?!
or maybe because we believe that communication is meant to be by words?!
by the way,i tried to give this war a name i couldn't..
any suggestions???
please email back
thanks tim
thanks everyone
Bassem
